New Endeavors

I'm in a moment of optimism, thinking of what's next... and it's about time. I spent many years somehow thinking I wasn't good enough to get all the things I want in life, but now I'm learning that as long as I want something bad enough, and keep trying, I will be happy. I'm getting happy. About a year and a half ago, I took a look at my job- sure, I liked it, but I wasn't really living up to my true potential- Instead of just sticking with a comfortable job, I wanted something that would challenge me and open doors for my success. That's why I applied for an Associate Producing position within my station. Even though it's an entry-level position, I can get the experience I need to really launch my career in news. So I applied a total of 3 times, each time getting a polite, "Thanks, but no thanks" response, when finally, last month I got a YES. I knew that if I kept pushing myself and really proving how dedicated I am to covering the news, my supierors would see my awesome potential. I know I can kick some ass as long as I'm given to opportunity. So, watch out! I'm ready to move forward.
